Community Involvement

Outside of our day-to-day business, at Rogers Insurance we proudly serve the community through a variety of charitable events. Two of the primary events we support are:

The Run for L’Arche – one of the insurance industry’s largest charity runs

The Leaders in Insurance Charity Classic Golf Tournament– our annual insurance industry charity golf tournament

Rogers Run for L’Arche

Since 2011, Rogers Insurance has worked with the hardworking staff and volunteers at L’Arche Calgary and Economical Insurance to put on a fantastic running event that raises money and awareness for programs supporting people with developmental disabilities. We’ve raised hundreds of thousands of dollars, with the run getting bigger and better every year!

Raised over $400,000 since 2011!

Leaders in Insurance Charity Classic Golf Tournament

In 1994, a small group of Calgary insurance adjusters, executives and brokers launched The Jim Sinclair Charity Golf Tournament. The Sinclair was Alberta‛s only insurance industry fundraising event of its kind. The tournament was named in recognition of retired Guardian Insurance Senior Vice President, Jim Sinclair, who made significant contributions to the insurance industry across Canada during his distinguished 40 year career.

The Sinclair has been renamed The Leaders in Insurance Charity Classic. Although there is a new name, you can expect the same amount of fun from our previous tournament with some exciting changes and an earlier start time. Formerly the Sinclair-Silvercrest tournament raised over $1 million in support of various charities. We look forward to continuing to raise funds for WICC and Bow Valley Insurance Education program with our revamped tournament. You won’t want to miss this!

The Canadian Legacy Project – Rogers Charity of Choice 2019-2021

Every three years, Rogers Insurance employees are presented with several charitable organizations and then vote on who they want to support for a three-year period. After 13 presentations from organizations sponsored by our employees here at the Calgary Head Office, The Canadian Legacy Project was chosen for our next 3 year commitment.

The Canadian Legacy Project was created because many of our Canadian Veterans are living in poverty and do not have the basic necessities in food, clothing and shelter. The Canadian Legacy Project is designed to support veterans and develop programs and events to help improve their everyday lives. The Calgary Veteran’s Food Bank is the only one in Canada – monthly support includes a food and toiletries drive, employee charitable donations matched by Rogers Insurance Ltd.,  volunteering and innovative fund raising events.
