Evacuation information

Emergency fuel stations are operating in safety rest areas in the following locations on Highway 63:

  • Approximately 60 km south of Fort McMurray
  • Approximately 100 km south of Fort McMurray at Mariana Lakes; and
  • Approximately 165 km south of Fort McMurray.

Quantities are limited and will be restricted to motorists who need fuel to get them to the nearest fuel centre.

There are currently five reception centres operating within the province.

From Fort McMurray travel North on HWY 63 for 28km to Voyageur Road and turn Left. Turn Left shortly onto HWY 63 West Service Road headed South. Travel 4.5km to Super Test Hill. Turn Right onto Petro Canada Road for 5km to Y intersection. Turn Left at Y intersection. Travel 2km to lodge on Right.
