Real Estate

A real estate client had suffered a major fire loss in one of its buildings. 40 families in the building were required to evacuate the premises, resulting in the client losing around $450,000 in rental income. The insurance company that covered them refused to pay out a business interruption settlement, leaving the client with nowhere to turn. Greg Grebinski stepped in and developed a business case for the client, ultimately arguing against the mitigation factor of this horrendous loss. He met with the insurance company, and negotiated a deal on behalf of the client that saw them receiving a settled payment of ~ $350,000 – $400,000 dollars.
