Rogers had pursued an interest in working with a large manufacturing company for several years. When Rogers’ Bob Shaw sat down with the CFO of the company to discuss insurance options, the client mentioned an uncovered claim at one of their Manufacturing Facilities  that was denied by their insurer and unchallenged by their former broker. Before being appointed, Bob, a former claims specialist, offered to pursue the matter on behalf of the client. After 6 weeks, investigating facts, coverage and law, Bob tabled his recommendations. The client was impressed with the work product and immediately appointed Rogers as their broker. Bob then successfully lobbied the insurer’s claims executive to acknowledge responsibility for payment. The result was property and business interruption claims of ~ $300,000 and a loyal, new client for Rogers.
