World’s Longest Lemonade Stand (and we were there!)

Baytex Energy Corp. and BOS Solutions Ltd., along with the crew from Dare to Care set out to break the world record for the World’s Longest Lemonade Stand, while raising funds for Dare to Care (a non-profit organization dedicated to taking a stand against bullying.) Dare to Care is regarded as the most comprehensive Bully Prevention program in Canada.

To make it happen, they invited community and business partners to jump in and join in on the attempt. Despite the fact that our specialty is popcorn and slushies, we decided it was a worthwhile (and refreshing) cause, so we pitched in too.

On September 18, alongside Baytex and BOS plus more than 300 other organizations, we helped set a new Guinness World Record. How big is the World’s Longest Lemonade Stand, you may ask? Well, it’s 1500 feet to be exact! As an added bonus, more than $182,000 was raised for Dare to Care and because of the efforts of organizers, volunteers and the business community, Dare to Care can continue to provide effective anti-bulling programs nation-wide.
