All race proceeds will
help fund support for the L'Arche Calgary Community. L'Arche is an international
organization of communities creating homes and day programs with people
who have developmental disabilities.

The Running Room has added two clinics specifically designed to
prepare runners for the Rogers Insurance Run for L'Arche. Clinics will
be held at the Eau Claire and Kensington locations. Clinics start
December 1st, but registration is now available on line. Don't delay in
signing up!

200 Barclay Parade S.W. [Eau Claire Market] Calgary, Alberta
The Half Marathon race and 5 mile (8 km) will be run on the Bow
river pathway. It will start and finish at Eau Claire Market (near the
Running Room store). All course maps will be regularly updated prior to race
day. Due to the current construction on the pathways the 5 mile and half
marathon may be subject to change.
The one kilometer Fun Run Walk will be through beautiful Prince's Island Park.

Aid Stations:
Aid stations on course will provide water and sports drinks. Locations to be determined at a later date.
Paramedics/Medical Assistants will be available throughout the course and at the Start/Finish line.
Post Race Food:
Stampede Caravan pancake breakfast will be served after the race
Awards:
*All Fun Walk, 5 mile (8 km) and Half Marathon runners will receive a
"Rogers Insurance Run For L'Arche" medal at the finish line. Door prizes to be
awarded throughout the event.
Top finishers medals and prizes will be awarded to each the men and
women for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in both the Half and 5 mile (8 Km)
races. Every participant will receive a finishing medal (1K, 5 mile (8
km) and the Half)
Half Marathon
Race: Overall top male and female - $250 (for each)
Overall 2nd place male and female - $100
Overall 3rd place male and female - $50
5 Mile
Race: Overall top male and female - $100
Overall 2nd place male and female - $50

Additional Information:
This event will be limited to 400 entries for the Half, 150 for the 5 mile (8 km) and 100 for the Fun Run.
The Half Marathon and 5 mile (8 km) race is a competitive event and will be chip timed.
Race package includes bib, tech shirt, race day information, timing chip and promotional materials.
On race day underground parking is available in Eau Claire Market as well as street parking nearby.
Washrooms are provided at Eau Claire Market.
Walkers are permitted to register for the Half Marathon.
The course will be closed (4) hours after the official start. *No race medals will be presented after this time.
The events will take place regardless of weather conditions.
Safety Notices:
This is not a closed course. Please watch out for other path users.
For the safety of all participants, we recommend you do not wear
iPods or mp3 players which inhibit your ability to hear course marshalls
and other racers.
